About the museum > The museum park The garden is a stylized piece of Småland with hazel shrubs, gravel and rocks surrounded by a stone fence overgrown with moss. The garden also contains Mandala, a work created especially for the park by sculptor Takashi Narhas. This represents a Japanese version of a geological garden in which a turquoise water channel is surrounded by stones reflecting the provincial bedrock, i.e. red granite from Askeryd, grey gneiss from Gislaved, black diabase of Rydaholm, bluish-brown iron ore from the Taberg mine and yellowish-brown sandstone of the Visingsö formation, taken from Uppgränna. |
